The Yucatan 2003, Celestun: 27 March 2003

Day 4

by Maggie 3/27/2003

I awoke to a knock on the door; it was Beth and her mother. My mom and I were going to go to breakfast with every one else. I got my things for the day. While I was getting ready, I had a piece of bread and some cheese. When I was finished I went to the lobby to meet our group and head out on another Wilkinson School adventure.

flamingos

We were going to go to see flamingos. We were on the bus for two hours and the whole way we did questions of the day. Finally we were there. There were like 20 boats lined up on a small dock. First thing I did was go and change into my bathing suit. The line was long, I waited for like 10 minutes. After I changed I went to see what boat I was in. I never did know the name of the boat but I was with Amy, Beth, Travis, his dad, and my mom. We went really fast. I was looking for a long time to see if I could see the flamingo. I finally saw them.

We got pretty close to them. We go to see what they eat.

After we left the flamingos we went to the Water Eye to swim. It took Aaron a long time to get in but he finally went in. In the Ojo de Agua

We went to a lecture and we learned how they keep track of the alligators.
